Beer Review: Ghost Town Lung Bloom Hazy IPA

This hazy IPA pours a beautiful, cloudy gold with a thick, frothy head that lingers. The aroma is a tropical fruit explosion, I’m getting big notes of pineapple, mango, and a hint of something citrusy, like grapefruit. There’s a subtle dankness to it, too, which is a nice touch.

  • On the first sip, Lung Bloom lives up to its name. It’s incredibly smooth and juicy, with the same tropical flavors from the aroma coming through strong. The pineapple and mango are dominant, but there’s a pleasant bitterness on the finish that keeps it from being too sweet.
  • It’s not a super aggressive bitterness, but just enough to balance out the fruit and make it exceptionally drinkable.
  • The mouthfeel is soft and pillowy, exactly what you want from a hazy IPA.

Ghost Town has created a fantastic brew with Lung Bloom. It’s flavorful, well-balanced, and dangerously easy to drink. If you’re a fan of the hazy style, this is a must-try. It’s a perfect beer for a sunny afternoon, whether you’re relaxing on a patio or just trying to pretend you’re on a tropical vacation. Highly recommended!
