Beer Review: Fort George Design Trends

Fort George Brewery continues to innovate with Design Trends, a 5.5% ABV West Coast Pale Ale that brings a crisp, contemporary edge to the category.

Appearance and Aroma

Design Trends presents a bright, inviting aesthetic, led by a fresh, clean aroma that showcases the forward-thinking selection of hops.

Flavor Profile

The beer excels on the palate by combining accessibility with a sophisticated hop narrative:

    • Vista Hops: These provide a unique, layered character that sets the foundation for a modern flavor profile.
    • Columbus Cryo: This addition adds a focused, clean intensity that sharpens the overall experience without overwhelming the drinker.
    • Finish: The result is a light-bodied, effortlessly drinkable ale that feels perfectly suited for modern tastes.

Design Trends is a stylish and refreshing option that proves how much depth can be packed into a 5.5% ABV beer. It is a fantastic choice for those looking for a light, hop-forward Pale Ale that remains balanced and easy to enjoy on any occasion.

About Fort George

Established in 2007, Fort George is a family-owned and operated craft brewery based in Astoria, Oregon. The company began operations by brewing on an 8.5-barrel system located in the back of their pub, and they quickly found that demand for their beer outpaced production capacity.

Fort George is an active member of the coastal community, operating a variety of facilities including two restaurants, a taproom, two research and development breweries, and a large-scale production facility. Additionally, the brewery manages a craft-focused distribution division that represents over 200 breweries, wineries, and cideries. While Fort George distributes its own original beers throughout the Pacific Northwest, the heart of the operation remains in Astoria.
